Hey Mark, how’s it going? Not too good. What happened? Oh, I can’t find the key for my dorm room! I
think I left it in my room! And what’s worse is I have a paper due today for my
history class! And it’s locked inside the room. Oh no! How soon is the history paper due? Pretty soon - a couple hours. Uh-oh. Yeah, it’s a problem. I have a roommate, but
he’s on the soccer team and he’s got a match in another city today. I doubt
he’ll be back in time to let me in. Well it’s an honest mistake. Why don’t you
just talk to the professor - explain what happened! I guess I could do that, just talk to her and
ask to hand it in tomorrow? It’s not ideal. But... It’s understandable though. Yeah, the only
thing is, I turned in my last paper a day late, and I don’t want her to think
this is a regular thing with me. That I’m irresponsible! Ohhh. Okay. I mean, there’s one other thing I could do.
Which is contact the campus facilities people. The people in charge of campus
buildings? And have them send a worker to unlock the door for me! Ohhh! Well hey- that’s a solution! You think
they’ll be able to do it soon enough? Well… Yeah! I think they usually send a
facilities person right away when you call. But the thing is, I think there’s a
fee for the service. You have to pay $15 to get the door unlocked.
